So you have a great idea to start a biotech company, and need to raise some funds. Yes, you need a business plan, but it is important to first know about the different sources of funding that are available and how much you could aim to attain.

There are various regionally focused public funded instruments available for start-up companies, most of which were created as part of the National Biotechnology Strategy. Funding available from the private sector is scarce as the industry is yet to attract the attention of serious investors.
